Connecting extra PIR to outside Floodlight with built-in PIR Ask questions and find answers to many subjects relating to electrics and electrical work

I want to fit a new standalone PIR *inside* my porch so the outside Floodlight comes as I first open my front door from inside - to light my steps - rather than when I'm already half way down them.

The Floodlight has its own PIR which works fine when approaching my steps from outside.

How can I connect this new PIR to the Floodlight without interfering with its built-in PIR ?

If the existing floodlight has a connection for the light only you can take a feed from the existing floodlight to the new PIR and back again.
