Correct use of a RCD spur.

by Dadwood » Sat Feb 21, 2009 12:28 pm

My kitchen is being renewed and I need to locate a 2 gang 13amp double pole switch socket beneath the fixed worktop for the washing machine and fridge. Ideally, I would have fitted a 2 gang RCD socket but since it won't be easily accessable, I hope to use a 1gang RCD spur which I can put above the worktop. My question is; from that ONE gang RCD spur, am I permitted to wire to a TWO gang 13 amp socket?
