    Curing a leaky soldered joint.

    Is there any way of stopping a drip on a soldered joint other than taking the joint apart and starting again.

    If the fitting is on a horizontal piece of pipe then No - is the short answer.

    If vertical pipe then you just need to drain the water and reheat, adding a little fresh solder.

    If it is horizontal pipe you'll need to cut the pipe to get the water out otherwise you'll never get a good joint.
