I am a final year student at Brunel University and I’m working with Urban Salon Architects (London) to design a new alternative to stainless steel handrails.

The aim is to create a beautifully formed, intuitive design that improves the home experience for those most at risk of having falls on stairs, e.g. children and the elderly. That said, this is not a disability aid and will not exclusively be for children or the elderly and therefore should appeal to everyone.
