    DIY Linoleum mosaic

    Postby MikeWilliams » Sat Nov 26, 2011 9:43 pm

I am restoring an old railway carriage and the linoleum is beyond repair, so I want to replace it with new. It is a mosaic of 1in squares in four different colours, all put together in a geometric design and I want an exact replica.

Is it possible to do this myself? I was thinking of cutting Linoleum into separate squares and assembling them in a jig onto a hessian or similar backing, with a modern adhesive of some sort. I need about 25ft by 7ft 6in.

    Please, has anyone done this?

    Thanks.

    Mike
