Dormer cheek Support Timbers

by England Expects » Mon Apr 09, 2007 8:26 pm

I am carrying out a Dormer conversion.
The support timbers for the cheeks (3 off 7x2 bolted together) have to be joined to the new Stud support wall, (birdmouth) do they have to be glued and nailed or secured by screws?
Thanks

Screwed and glued is always the best option.
