Electric Heaters

Hi, I'm considering changing over to electric heating as I have found some lovely looking electric heaters on a website www.glassheating.com that say they are cheaper to run than traditional central heating. I am very tempted to buy some as they look so nice and are "eco" friendly but before I make any final decisions I was wondering if anyone had any experience with electric heaters or any advise about them? Any info would be much appreciated.
