When my landing light is turned on there is a delay of about a minute before it comes on. This also happens to the toilet light which is the next connection on the circuit. I have tested the wiring and all indications are that the cables are live and working. Please can you advise what could be the problem?

I have noted my bedroom light does the same this is quite obvious a non electronic compact florescent which are very voltage dependent. The one I have problems with is from Ikea would be interesting to know what type you are using.
