Existing single storey extension coversion to two storey
the house we bought four years ago had an existing extension built onto it this was built without planning permission but they got it in retrospect. i am now thinking of extending upstairs over the same footprint. I do not know the existing size of the foundations. In prinicple would I have to widen the exisiting founds or should they be Ok?
extension
bore holes to inspect the foundation will have to be excavated, the final say, rests with the building inspector
