fitting a freestanding bath

by swifty » Tue Sep 23, 2008 8:17 pm

I have bought a freestanding bath but my plumber seems to think it will be really difficult to fit due to the surround. He reckons it will be near impossible to connect the taps etc due to access difficulties. There is no access via the floor. Don't want to change the bath as it looks fab and i have waited years for a new bathroom suite. HELP! :(

impossible to say without seeing the job. if there is no possible way to gain floor access however, then listen to your plumber. he's there and has seen what's involved. if it were possible then i'm sure he would do it.
