Fitting a uPVC door frame without a DPC

by LiquidCool72 » Sat Mar 22, 2008 12:49 pm

Is it possible to install a uPVC door frame (with side windows) without a DPC?

I ask because I have had one fitted, and the builder did not install one. I am holding back money because he did not fit one. He reckons that it is not necessary because the frame is uPVC.

However, the builders lay a DPC initially when they fitted the frame and 2 course of bricks wrong. It looks to me that he forgot to put the DPC back when he re-fitted the 2 course brick.
