Fitting antique brass taps to a modern sink - any problem?

Post by pikaluk » Sun Aug 24, 2008 12:37 pm

Hi, just wanted to know whether I would have any problems fitting 2 separate (hot and cold) antique brass taps to a new bathroom sink. Is this possible?

Thanks.

Standards have been pretty much the same forever, but one difference was some taps had a square base requiring a complimentary cutout in the porcelain. Most modern basins do not accommodate this square shape.
