Fixing dart board to a door

Post by vezco » Fri Mar 21, 2008 9:51 pm

I've bought a 12kg dart board in a display box. I want to fix it to the back of the door.
I'm not sure what my doors are made of. I drilled into one in an unobtrusive place and the veneer started to peel up. Also I'm not sure if they're hollow or how to find out.
What's the best way to find out and to fix this up?
Basic questions but I really know nothing! Help.
