Fixings for removable panels?

Post by JEJeffrey » Fri Aug 21, 2009 10:26 am

I have a standard 600mm carcase with an oven in it and a microwave above. The microwave has failed, and I have replaced it with one that fits the width nicely but has a large gap above (the old one was surrounded by an easily removable trim panel). I can fill the gap with panels that I have which match the kitchen decor, but then the front of the whole unit will be completely flush - fine until something goes wrong and I need access! Is there a fitting technique I can use which makes the panel reasonably secure but lets me pull it off forwards when necessary? It seems that a standard springy tool clip does the job I have in mind, but might not be firm enough.

JEJeffrey,
Buy a pair of the clips used to hold the front panel in place on a loo vanity unit.
