Post by vinod » Thu Jul 09, 2009 9:52 pm

we have flies in our house with bad foul smell coming more from the bathroom sink than anywhere else. think the flies are called gnat flies and they sit by lights and windows. has anybody had this problem and know how to fix.

Guess whats attracting the flies? Solve your drainage problems and the smell will go. When the smell goes the flies will go too.

I'm guessing that what is happening is that syphnage is sucking out the water from the trap in your bathroom basin. When that happens the water seal is broken and bad smells escape.

Can you describe, please, in better detail how the different wastes in your bathroom are connected (loo, bath, basin, shower etc) in oredr to bebable to recommend a specific solution.

Is it happening in other places like the kitchen as well?

Cheers
