    Footings Querie

    Postby staningrimsby » Sat May 31, 2008 3:25 pm

    Hi there,

I am a newbie, just a quick question, i dug out my foundations today for a small extension, 1 mtr deep and 600 mm wide, went out for a few hours and when i got back there was a small puddle in the bottom.

Is this normal, and is it just water coming up from the soil ???

No worries.....................either your water table is near the trench or its rain fall. When you come to pour the footing, just pump or bucket it out. Once the concrete is in it will take it in to the mix..............Have fun
