gas fitting experience required

hi

i wonder if anybody could help.
i have been in the plumbing trade for quit a while now and i am moving into gas fitting. i am due to do a 2 week initial gas safety course soon to get me on my way along with a load of course work to be done at home. after this i need to complete a portfolio of gas fitting work that has been done with a corgi reg person to go towards my acs cert and then corgi cert.
is there any corgi reg person/s in the coventry/nuneaton/birmingham area that would be able to help by allowing me to work with them to gain the skills needed to do my portfolio.
i am told i would need a minimum of 12 weeks work.
ideally i could do with the work on weekends as i would be able to stay in my current job. if this is possible i would be willing to work for free as long as i am in the thick of it and not just labouring. if it is not poss i would require a wage of some sort.
i would be looking to start around may time if poss.

thanks in advance

paul
