    hand mixed cement

    Postby pcoop » Mon Oct 25, 2010 7:40 pm

We just had a room extended, and the contractor ordered too short on the cement. So the worker had mixed it to complet a 4ft x 4ft section. We noticed a lot of sand and aggregate in that area. It's a load bearing wall, and was poured two weeks ago. Do we need to dig it out and repour? We will have to tear the new wall down do a new pour.

Being short on concrete does happen,But if your unsure of the density of the concrete try chipping it with a hammer and chisel if its weaker and your not happy ask him to do it again
