HDTV switches itself to standby Ask questions and find answers to many subjects relating to electrics and electrical work

My HDTV is switching itself off to standby whenever another electrical appliance is switched on. This is affected by any appliance on any of the circuits. i.e Hoover, Cooker, Shower. I have had no alterations made to my electrics for the past 6 months and this problem as only just come about. I would appreciate anybody's thoughts on possible reasons why this could suddenly start to happen.

Could be a surge on the circuit causing the problem but does sound like a fault with the TV.
