hiding pipes

Post by markduck » Sat Aug 09, 2008 1:47 pm

Hi i am moving a radiator in the kitchen the supply is from up stairs instead of removing the floor boards in the bedroom and trying to find a route accross steel joists could i hide the pipe behind the coving there is plenty of room because it is 10 mm micro bore. My only concern is the heat from the pipes would it affect the coving adehisive and make the coving fall down i am using plaster coving if i could this would make life a lot easier thanks Mark

Hi Mark,
Can't see why not, except make sure NO compression joints are behind it, all soldered please. Also coat the pipe with a barrier to the adhesive paint for e.g. to stop any possible corrosion.

Hth
