HOT WATER from a combi boiler

    Postby rennie » Fri Mar 09, 2012 12:44 pm

Hi all,we have a relatively new combi boiler and at the moment we are only getting hot water from it when the Heating is on.Without the heating its stone cold, with the heating its erratic at best and takes ages to fill a bath or sink with luke warm water. We had this problem before with the old boiler. Two weeks ago I fitted new taps and on re-filling the system(lots of banging n clattering as it filled) every thing worked ok as it should-hot water on tap lol!-.Its now gone back to its stubborn self again. All the switch gear checks out,so does the boiler/pressure etc.turn the tap on and nowt, put the heating on and WARM not piping hot water. This is outwith my fixing capabilities,so what can I expect to be wrong and a rough idea of cost would be most helpfull.Rennie.

It would seem this is a problem with the combi boiler itself - probably the diverter valve As it is new it should be covered by the manufacturers warranty. Get the installation guys back to check it out.
