Impress and Flash

In order to help my wife write a report on Open Source I have moved from Power Point to Impress. However I am having some problems in showing the presentation without first allowing the audience to pre-view the slides.
With Power Point I could save as a presentation and in that format it would go straight to presentation without opening Power Point first.
With Impress I can save as a Flash file but in spite of setting timed auto slide change it will only change with click of mouse etc.
Has anyone else used this package and if so how does one save completed presentation?
