induction hob wiring help after replacing electric hob

by one0one » Sat Mar 17, 2018 9:35 am

Hi,
I have had to replace my old electric hob and need my new induction hob wired. The main line is already connected to the electricity, I just need to connect it to the hob. I have tried to get an electrition for the last days but as I don't live near a local town or city it's proving hard to do. Is this something I can do myself. I have wired things up before ( plug sockets, lights etc ) but never something this big and I know a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing.
I have attached photos of the wires and hob below.

Thank you for any help,

Richard

I did try to reply, but some thing wrong with the forum it would not let me reply, you used the right hand diagram I take it? Left hand one only used in France and Spain where a split supply 230 - 0 - 230 is common, not used in UK even on the odd farm with a split phase supply.
