Installing a Chimney Hood And Using A 3 Pin Plug

Hi, Im thinking of putting a temporary chimney hood in my kitchen just to minimise the grease while still saving money for a new kitchen unit. Can I use a 3 pin plug on any chimney hood?

No real reason why not in fact it is a good idea to be able to unplug for maintenance.
