kitchen lights

[color=darkblue][/color] :oops: help... whilst decorating touched light switch with metal and it blew, have looked in switch and everything looks ok.. no broken fuse wire ...tried bulbs in other lights....don,t know what else to try..help please

I do not think this is really a DIY job. With power off a gentle tug on the wires may find the break but test equipment in most likely required. Plus as a Kitchen it is considered as special location. Most lights are not yet on earth leakage but maybe yours was wired by some forward thinking person so recheck the consumer unit in case there are two trips covering this light.
