laying solid wood flooring.
I want to lay a solid oak floor on top of the old original floorboards. They will run in the same direction. Is there any problem with this? The old floorboads are pretty flat but do I still need to lay plywood over the top of them? I was really hoping tho keep the height down to match the carpets in the adjoining rooms.
Re: laying solid wood flooring.
if the original flooring is in good condition then there is no problem.
