Metal Fitting on PVC Door Loose Screw will not Tighten

Post by raiden_188 » Tue Jun 30, 2015 8:58 pm

Hello. We have had a PVC door fitted to the front of the house for two years and have noticed one of the metal fittings has become loose. The screw no longer tightens the fitting. Please see the images. Any advice would be welcome.

if you over tighten the screw it will just spin, Use a cordless drill on its slowest setting, and screw it higher or lower, by only a few millimetres or it will catch the roller on the lock mechanism

Hi. The hole has become too big and the fitting can be pulled out. The door was slammed and must have caught it. Anyway to fix this?
