Mixer shower mains pressure.

by john25 » Sun Nov 02, 2008 5:10 pm

I am thinking of fitting a thermostatic mixer shower and have a combi boiler. The ones I have looked at say that if the mains pressure exceeds 5 bar then I would need to fit a drop tight pressure reducing valve to the mains feed. Is there any easy way to check my mains water pressure?

hi personally cant see it being above 5 but you can buy pressure testing kits some fit on to taps or you could test thru the washing machine isolation valve, disconnect the hose, small piece of copper, nut olive attch to isolation valve attach kit to piping open valve and read gauge
