More Torbeck toilet valve problems

Post by nextmanlondon » Thu Jun 04, 2009 11:07 am

Hi there
I have a mains fed Torbeck in my cistern.
To cut a long story short the loo was blocked (due to kids stuffing kitchen roll in it!) 2 days ago.
Have cleared that and now flushed perfectly - strangely though this caused the loo to stop filling up? Although even more strangely it went from that to over filling and now back again. It literally just drips to fill.

I have taken everything apart, cleaned, reseated and still nothing.
Flow from the mains pipe is perfect but i just get nothing out of the torbeck system.

Question really is there anyway the original waste blockage could have caused a fault in the valve system? lucky co-incidence? Just seems odd it has worked perfectly for 5 years+ and now this..

Any help or advice greatfully received.
Thanks.

nextmanlondon,
Check for debris in the nozzle and try replacing the diaphragm washer.
