Mould Appearing on Bedroom Ceiling Even After Cleaning and Plastering?

Post by Kirstyroxy » Wed Feb 24, 2016 10:39 am

Hi
I have always had a problem with mould on the bedroom ceiling. It's in no other room in the house except the bathroom. The bathroom has a tiny bit but the bedroom ceiling is covered in mould. All on the ceiling edges and all over the top of the walls. It has started moving further towards the middle of the ceiling. We don't dry washing in the house, we have enough ventilation and always keep a window open too. This situation is getting worse and coming a major issue in the house. We had insulation fitted and it seems to make the problem worse. We have tried paint after we have cleaned in but no luck. We even had the whole room re plastered but still no luck.

Can anyone recommend anything.

put a dehumidifier in the room for a couple of days, clean the mould with neat bleach. make sure its dry, then paint a pva solution on the ceiling and the walls. that should help
