mounting poles on top of concrete
I'm building a large canopy using bamboo poles to cover my patio area. My question is what is the best way to mount the round poles to the concrete? I want to insure the poles will not wander on the concrete. Is there any fixtures similar to those used with 4x4 posts?
Re: mounting poles on top of concrete
you could manufacture or have it manufactured, a square pre holed plate and a steel pole welded to it.Then insert the bamboo into the steel and drill and bolt the bamboo to the steel, the the square plate can be fixed to the concrete.
