Moved pump now a problem

by Mark11 » Sun Aug 10, 2008 7:55 pm

Can any one help, I've had to move my hot water cylinder, pump and 3PV. The cylinder has move to the other end of the house and the pump and 3 PV has been move to the roof. the pump is about 6-10" below the F&E tank. (Grundfos 3 speed on top speed)
I have put a short ciruit in near the 3 pv for venting and flushing when this is open i get full flow around the boiler, when i isolate the short ciruit i cannot get flow aroung the rads and struggle to get any flow to the cylinder. even when i try just htg or just hw. wiring is correct and the plumbing is re-connected correctly as before. 3pv is new.

any ideas?? is there a minium header required for the pump?
