New engineered flooring

Hi

I am about to lay a new floor (engineered wood) in my hallway - I have a small area which is solid block parquet flooring (not enough unfortunatly) Can I put my undelay and new floor over the top of this flooring?

As long as the existing is solid and not loose anywhere Richie
