no upstairs lights

on xmas eve the bulb blew in my bedroom which resulted in a big orange glow descending from the bulb and trip the trip switch so as result went and switched back up and now no upstairs lights work at all have chaged the trip/fuse and checked all wiring in light fittings and switches anyone got any ideas?

Check which fuse protects the circuit and check the fuse itself - if it's rewireable pull on the fuse wire, if it's a push button mcb tap the mcb before you reset it, you may have to replace the mcb.

if you have checked everywhere for loose connections
as your post suggests . best get in your electrician
