Oak Door Linings

Oak Door Linings

In the process of renovating 1960's bungalow. Have removed original door linings which will be replaced with natural oak. What would you recommend before plastering? Dummy linings or fitting treated and sealed oak linings? If oak, what would you treat with? Any help gratefully received. Thanks.
