any suggestions on how to remove obo nails from plastered walls

cut with a grinder or a dremmel cutter

you can also use a claw hammer to twist them off. steel has little in the way of tensile strength so you can easily twist and break them off. obviously this will leave tail in the wall permanently but its quicker, easier and much safer than a grinder.
