Overfilled Worcester Bosch Greenstar 30 CDI Combi and now Won't Hold Pressure?

by Peter Hilsdon » Thu Aug 20, 2015 12:38 pm

Hi,
I wonder if anyone can explain what I have broken and what I need to get fixed ?
I looked at my Worcester Boiler CDI Greenstar 30 this morning and noticed it's pressure was a bit low, so I used the filling up point as I have often done for years, and went to adjust a little bit, but made the mistake of overfilling Ops !!! (on the pressure gauge ) not sure what the pressure went up but into the RED.
The Problem I now have is that when I try to fill up the system with water the pressure will now not hold at all ( When system is ON or Completely OFF )
The water goes in but now comes straight Out again on the overflow outside.
Any help would be appreciated
regards
Pete.

I'm no heating engineer, but if you have over pressurised the system, then maybe you are still trying to overfill a full system.
Drain down until the pressure drops to below the norm, then carefully refill.
Ours runs at 1 bar.
