painting exterior doorstep tiles

by Vic112 » Sun Sep 21, 2008 4:10 pm

I want to paint my tiled doorstep in brick red. I've looked in diy shops and can only find doorstep paint (which isn't suitable for tiles), and exterior brick & tile paint (which is not hard wearing enough for a doorstep).
Can anyone suggest a suitable paint or method of how to get around this?
I was thinking of perhaps using the exterior brick & tile paint and then some kind of sealant on top? But not even sure where to get a suitable sealant![/img]

more info req'd - what type of tiles are they? assuming they are glazed ceramic you will struggle to find a product that will adhere strongly enough to take the punishment.
