Potterton Boiler

by charlie58 » Thu Jan 07, 2010 7:46 am

Are any of you professionals aware of a problem with the wiring looms of Potterton Suprema boilers. I have the 50L model and recently it has started to switch itself off, requiring several presses of the reset button to get it working again. I contacted a plumber (following a recommendation) and he informed me that this was a common fault with this type of boiler and that the problem lay with the wiring loom which needed to be replaced. The boiler is approx 6 years old.
Does this sound right to you and has anyone come across a similar fault?

Thanks in advance for your feedback.
