Problems with storage heaters

Post by lindap » Fri Nov 02, 2007 1:15 pm

I have just moved into a flat with storage heaters and one of them has stopped working. I have taken the top off as advised by sparx but there is not a trip switch inside. (It was covered by accident).
I assume that the fuse needs replacing somewhere. Would this be in the rcd unit? I would be grateful for any feedback. The storage heater is a Dimplex installed around 2001.

The thermal link has gone on the inside of the storage heater. covering it would not blow a fuse. sounds like you were given the correct advice last time. Look harder for the thermal re-set! It is in there at the top by the control knobs. you'll know when you've got it. It'll click back in.
