Living in spain and trying to install a log burner!
Steel in inside of fireplace want to paint it! Hammerite black?

I'd suggest VHT paint... as used for car engine's, exhausts, etc, or some form of heat resistant acrylic paint.

Many thanks.. I ended up pulling it out (3 men) and lining with fire bricks.
