Radiator in bay window

by tooly » Wed Mar 11, 2009 3:58 pm

I need to move a radiator and re-position in the bay window of a bedroom in a 1930's semi. I am going to have the room re-plastered, the lath and plaster constuction of the bay area with studing and tiles to the outside looks a very weak area to hang a double radiator. Is it possible to Beef up this area or should I look at a different position, also what fixings should i use if i do use the bay area. Thanks.

If it is a lath and plaster wall in reasonable condition, it should take the weight of a radiator easily.

USe this type of fixing for the brackets
