Recommendations for a newbie gardener

I've been growing awhile in soil and wanted to move over to hydroponic gardening given that winter is coming up. I put together a list of stuff I should get, but since I'm new I'm thinking there might be individuals who can advise some excellent goods. Here is what I came up with so far -

Ebb & Flow tray kit from Viagrow
Digital lighting ballast from Lumatek
Lighting hood from Raptor
Hydroponic Nutrients from X Nutrients
