Redring "Expressions" shower

Expressions 5000 elec shower problem.
"Overheat light" switch comes on even when only set to "medium" so never gets warm. Has worked OK for over 2 years.
Makes no difference adjusting the flow.
Is it fixable or does it need replacing completely?

Check and clean filters, if the water flow is reduced the heat may not be getting away from the unit quick enough.
