Removing a Ceiling Fan in Conservatory and now Light Won't go off

by plantagenet » Wed Aug 02, 2017 10:55 am

On replacing the glass roof for a Guardian roof in my conservatory, I also had the ceiling fan removed. I didn't see what was done with the wiring and a 3 core cable was left dangling through the plaster. When I got around to fitting a new ceiling light I wired it up to the exposed cable. The light now won't switch off and I can't tell where all the wires to the switch go as they were all left connected. The switch is a double with the other going to wall lights which are working fine. I have uploaded a photo of the switch wiring. I'd be grateful for any help in sorting the wiring. Thanks.
