removing adhesive from the back of tiles Advice and information on tiling and fixing tiles to a variety of surfaces

I have taken some wall tiles off my bathroom walls and would like to know the best way to remove the old adhesive on the back so I can put them back up level. Is there a way to soften the adhesive or is it a matter of going steady with a chisel ? :oops:

Soak them in hot water - then scrape.
