Removing Existing Paint Before Painting Skirting Boards and Door Jambs

by NakedAngel » Thu Feb 04, 2016 4:13 pm

I'm doing my first diy job in my kitchen/diner and I want to know whether I need to remove the existing paintwork before painting skirting boards and door jambs?

Yes, you may remove the existing paintwork but it depends a type of paint.

Here is the question:

What are type of paint in the existing wall and your new paint?

I think you need to remove the existing gloss paint, integrate properly the new tiles.
