    removing old grout on main surface of floor tiles

    Can anyone suggest how I remove unsightly grout residue from my matt finish kitchen floor tiles.
    The tiles were laid about three months ago. I have tried scouring pads, flor cleaner, but its not budging!!
    Any advice would be much appreciated
