Removing wallpaper from dry lined walls

I am intending to remove the wallpaper from my dry lined walls. Has anyone done this already and is it advisible to use a steamer to do this or is water the sensible option.

Steamer is usually a bad choice on plasterboard as it can easily blow the plaster. See our project on stripping wallpaper
