Replacement wooden slats for a garden bench

by rormerod » Tue Apr 17, 2007 10:47 pm

Hi,

I've got a cast iron garden bench that has (oak) wooden slats. The slats are in a poor condition (warped etc) and I want to replace these.

Does anyone know where I can buy such reasonable quality wooden slats (ideally with a couple ready 'bevelled'? I'm sure I've seen a website selling such but can't remember its name.

None of the larger DIY stores seem to have anything appropriate though I've not yet been to an actual timber merchant.

Thanks for any help,

Rich

A timber merchant is the answer. You can get them bevelled to your eign and be sure of getting the best quality timber which you will definately not get at a DIY store.
